Angela, I am definitely considering what our budget should be, but I’m hopeful to work with $80. For me, it’s not so much about being under budget all the time as to have a realistic budget to strive for. We’ll see where we end up. And thanks for the correction, that’s what happens when writing while half asleep. My apologies Bob.

Kristin, thank you. I think it’s good for all of us to recognize how we grow and change through life. Blogging is just a great way to be open about it and really analyze the changes.

I loved your last statement. That was me a few years ago. Full-time CPA, business suits, and lattes. Now I’m a part-time CPA, jeans and a cup of joe made at home. Life is much better this way.

Just an idea- maybe you should make your budget $100, then you’d always be UNDER- and it’s still an awesome amount for a family of 3.

I like your closing sentiment- I feel like that too, post-Compact. Who would have dreamed a non-cook, non-gardener would be joining a CSA, becoming an almost-gourmet cook, and growing herbs and tomatoes?
